Hello all,
The Nov. 2013 binary builds of Io have been uploaded to the usual place,
and are available at the iolanguage.com homepage, as well as the iobin
project page, at http://iobin.suspended-chord.info.
These builds (the first since last November) contain the past year's
commit activity, as of Nov. 4 2013. Additionally, the virtual machines
used to build them have (mostly) been upgraded. Here's the list of
binaries available:
- Windows, built on a Windows XP box (but works on XP+)
- Mac OS X, unfortunately built on 10.6, but working on getting a newer VM
- Linux .deb x86 and x64, built on Linux Mint 15
- Linux .rpm x86 and x64, built on Fedora 19
- FreeBSD, built on FreeBSD 9.2
- NetBSD, built on NetBSD 6.1.2
- OpenBSD, built on OpenBSD 5.4
- Linux .deb armhf (Raspberry Pi), built on Raspian Wheezy ARMHF
Additionally, my Cygwin-compatible fork has been updated
(github:gatesphere/io.git).
One more important bit of info: the Mac OS X build now includes the
Yajl, ObjCBridge, and Socket addons, as have been much requested in
emails to me.
Thanks,
-->Jake
